A free developmental screening is provided for all District 202 preschool children between three and five years of age. It assesses skills in personal-social development, communication, small and large muscle coordination and cognitive development. Parents provide information regarding their child's health and developmental history and any concerns to assist in determining the child's needs. The purpose of the screening is to answer questions parents may have about their child's development, and to identify those children who may need further evaluation.
