Marching Band
Grade Open To: 9-10-11-12 Term: 1 & 2Credit:Received through Concert Band,
Symphonic Band, or Wind Ensemble signup
Prerequisite:Must be enrolled in Concert or Symphonic Band or Wind Ensemble
Fees: Current uniform & cleaning fees (distributed to students in spring/summer of each year)
Description: The Marching Band focuses on the development and reinforcement of fundamental playing and marching skills. ALL STUDENTS ENROLLED IN CONCERT BAND, SYMPHONIC BAND, OR WIND ENSEMBLE PARTICIPATE IN MARCHING BAND. Students are evaluated by their in-class and out-of-class preparation, and do receive a grade as part of their concert or symphonic band class. Marching Band is primarily through August, September, and October, with class content emphasizing marching, both parade and field. Students enrolled are required to attend out-of-school functions such as varsity football games, parades, contests, and festivals along with extra rehearsals/sectionals
