Commercial Music Production

Prerequisite: None
Description: Th is course focuses on exposing students to a wide range of music technology and how that technology can be applied to their daily lives and possibly to their career choices. Topics such as MIDI, digital recording, sequencing, and computer aided sound engineering are covered. Students are given opportunities to create their own music, digitally record it, edit it using computer software, and transfer the project to a CD. Students are required to learn to use digital recording equipment by recording music department rehearsals and concerts. Students must provide their own CD-R’s for recording
