Bus Runs
2011-12 Bus Runs

Numerous routes are running up to 10 minutes earlier than the times listed here. These routes represent a general time frame for stops and times. Please plan accordingly.
Families who are new to the district, or who need to change buses should please contact the district transportation department for the most current information. (posted Sept. 1, 2011)

Bus Route Changes for 2011-12
District 202 will implement a "three tiered" busing schedule in 2011-12 to help save the district about $600,000. Several changes will be made next fall to ensure that this new system runs as effectively and efficiently as possible:
- The district must shorten some Middle School and High School routes and eliminate some stops to ensure that buses can deliver students to school and home in the time frame allowed. Therefore, Middle and High School students this fall may have to walk between two-tenths and four-tenths of a mile to their bus stop. This is a slight increase from the current distance of two-tenths of a mile.
- The distance that Elementary Students may have to walk will remain the same - about one-tenth of a mile. However, some stops along Elementary School routes will be eliminated to create shorter more efficient routes.
- Elementary Bus stops in the middle of streets that were added during heavy construction years will be eliminated if stops at the corners are within one-tenth of a mile.
- Kindergarten mid-day routes again will not be posted because they include students' addresses. This information will be given to families as soon as possible before school begins, depending on last-minute registrations. Bus drivers transporting afternoon kindergarten students will contact the families on their routes shortly before school begins. Morning kindergarten students will use the regular corner bus stops as posted.
