2009-10 Kindergarten Registration
Current District 202 residents who will have students entering Kindergarten in the 2009-2010 school year
are encouraged to register their students beginning Monday, March 2nd, 2009. To accommodate the busy
schedules of our parents/legal guardians, students can be registered following the schedule below. All
Kindergarten students living within the school district boundaries are guaranteed placement.
If your child currently attends the Bonnie McBeth Learning Center you will not be required
to prove residency. You will only need to complete paperwork and pay your fee.
***YOUR CHILD MUST BE 5 YRS. OLD ON OR BEFORE SEPTEMBER 1, 2009***

Registration Schedule
Where: The Registrar's Office
24101 West Fort Beggs Road (across from PHS-CC)

When: Starts Monday, March 2nd, 2009 - April 30th, 2009
Time: Monday – Friday from 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Extended hours on Tuesday evenings until 7:00 p.m.
Please Note:
Available Saturdays:
March 7th, March 21st, & April 18th – Hours will be from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
During Spring Break the Registrar's office will have modified business hours.
(April 6th – April 9th - Hours will be from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.)
What Should I Bring With Me?
• District 202 Kindergarten Registration Forms (Click here to download)
• $75.00 for Kindergarten fees. Checks should be made payable to
Plainfield School District 202
• Certified birth certificate. Please bring the official birth certificate issued by the county.
Unfortunately
we are unable to accept wallet size birth certificates if they do not list
the parents’ names.
• Any legal custody documents that pertain to the student, if applicable. This includes
divorce decrees.
• Three Documents to Prove Residency. All registrations require these documents, even if
siblings are
already registered in the district.
Category I – Provide at Least One or Two of the following Documents:
• Most recent real estate tax bill showing me as the taxpayer
• Signed lease for my residence
• Settlement Statement/ Closing Statement, signed
• Truth In Lending form from closing packet, signed
• Warranty Deed, from closing packet
• Completed Residency Affidavit (Only if the Parent/Guardian does not own or
lease the residence.)
Category II – Provide at least One or Two of the following documents:
• Driver's License
• Utility bill
• Public Aid card
• Homeowner/ Renter's Insurance
• Automobile Insurance/ Registration
School physical examination and immunization records completed within 12 months of the start of the
school year. Click here for Kindergarten health requirements. While this is not required at the time of registration, according to Illinois law it must be on file
with the school before the student starts school in the fall. Please schedule appointments early because
doctor’s offices get very busy during the summer months completing physicals.
