SPECIAL MESSAGES:

District 202 is proud to support and participate in the Northern Illinois Food Bank’s “Hunger Action Month” food drive. Please donate through September 21, 2018 at any of our schools or the district administrative center.

REGULAR INFORMATION

  • The District 202 Board of Education will meet in regular session on Monday, September 10, 2018 at Eagle Pointe Elementary School, 24562 Norwood Drive, Plainfield. The public session will start at 7:30 p.m.

Kudos and Congratulations
  • Plainfield East High School was named a Will County Earth Flag school at the end of last school year for reducing waste at the school. The Student Environmental Action Coalition collected and recycled 2,200 chip bags, did composting and made and hung signs around the school promoting proper recycling habits.
  • The Bonnie McBeth Learning Center has earned the Circle of Quality designation from ExceleRate Illinois, the state’s quality recognition and improvement system for early learning and development programs.
  • Plainfield South High School junior Aiden Bollinger and sophomore Justin Malatia won the Illinois High school Bass Fishing League tournament held August 26, 2018 at Lake Decatur. This is only the fifth tournament in the PSHS Bass Fishing team’s history.

facebook Plainfield High School – Central Campus math teacher Arlene Morris has been named a Claes Nobel Educator of Distinction by The National Society of High School Scholars.

PHSCC junior Omar Afzal nominated Morris after taking her geometry class last year.

Each year student members of The National Society of High School Scholars can nominate an educator who has made a significant contribution to their academic career.
