Drauden Point MS hosting Santa’s Workshop to benefit charity

Santa and Mrs. Claus will visit Drauden Point Middle School on December 15, 2017 as part of a special “Santa’s Workshop” event being held to benefit the Aunt Martha’s Youth Service Center.

Drauden Point 8th graders will host the event from 6-8 p.m. in the school gymnasium, 1911 Drauden Road, Plainfield.

All children younger than 10 are invited to attend. Admission is $10 for one child, and $2 for each additional child. Additional donations at the door will be appreciated. All proceeds will be donated to Aunt Martha’s Youth Service to buy gifts for underprivileged children.

At the Workshop, “Santa’s Elves” will help kids with numerous special crafts and projects, including making a Christmas craft; coloring a Christmas picture; making reindeer food; decorating cookies; writing a letter to Santa; singing carols; reading stories; and taking pictures with Santa. Parents can bring cameras to take pictures of their kids with Santa.

There also will be games with prizes in the North Pole room, dancing with Santa’s reindeer, balloon animals and face painting. Personalized ornaments also will be available for purchase.
