5:172 Staff Consulting Activities

The Board considers that staff consulting activities with other public agencies may be a very rewarding experience in terms of professional growth for staff members and may have benefit for the School District. All consultation work that has an effect on School District resources, e.g., staff time, equipment, material usage, absence from the work place, etc., shall need prior approval by the Superintendent. In those cases when school resources or time are used, any honoraria become the property of the School District except that those expenses directly related to travel; lodging, meals and incidental sundries may be deducted from the honoraria.
