The District recognizes and accepts the responsibility to provide continuous, effective and efficient supervision of all employees. The supervision program is designed to maximize the contribution of each employee, to insure the accomplishment of District goals and objectives and, to provide employee job satisfaction. The District's administration and teacher evaluation system will be conducted under the plan filed with the Illinois State Board of Education.
The District assumes that the teaching act is composed of a set of identifiable patterns of behavior which can be observed, recorded, analyzed and changed. Furthermore, the District maintains that staff must grow professionally and can be assisted in doing so provided ongoing support is provided in an atmosphere of mutual trust and respect between the supervisor and the classroom teacher.
