  • We have updated the “Covid-19 Dashboard” for this week. ***Please note: we added a new line to the chart to show last week’s numbers, for comparison and clarity.
  • We created a special "Covid-19 Parent Handbook" to help families understand the pandemic, official health guidance, rules, our efforts to keep students and staff safe, etc.

This Handbook is posted on the Covid-19 Information page on our website, among other places. It will be updated as needed.

  • There are no state athletic competitions this year because of the pandemic. However, the Plainfield North High School boys cross country team won its Sectional and therefore would have gone to state if not for the pandemic.

The team was also invited to run at the Shazam Invitational High School Championship “state meet,” sponsored by two private organizations. Only the top 20 teams and 30 top individuals statewide earned invitations to participate.

District officials will continue to assess COVID-19 metrics and guidance from the Will County Health Department. As well, District 202 will not allow students to participate in basketball, although the Illinois High School Associ...ation last week said schools could do so starting November 16, 2020. Superintendent of Schools Dr. Lane Abrell shared both decisions at the Board of Education’s November 9, 2020 regular meeting. Read more: www.psd202.org/news/1605 #202proud
