Aux Sable Middle School 7th grader Ivan Schultz discuses his "AfriCOBRA" piece with art teacher Carolyn Zolecki. Students drew a positive word representing themselves, their family, or their community. The project is based on the AfriCOBRA collective of African-American artists in Chicago created in 1968.

District 202 will use this data to help determine if additional in-person learning days can be added while continuing to follow the current safety guidance. 

  • Please continue to review the "Covid-19 Parent Handbook" which is designed to help families understand the pandemic, official health guidance, rules, our efforts to keep students and staff safe. (updated February 18, 2021.)
  •  Delivery for our Curbside Meal Service is now on Wednesdays, through March 3rd. Free meals are available to ALL students 18 and younger.

  • Plainfield South High School Associate Principal Dr. Phil Pakowski; Plainfield East High School Associate Principal Kate Morris; and Plainfield High School – Central Campus Humanities Division Chair Steve Lamberti presented on February 24, 2021 on District 202’s adjustment to remote learning during the pandemic to the IL 60 by 25 Network conference.

The IL 60 by 25 Network comprises Illinois communities committed to ensuring that 60 percent of all adults have a college or career credential by 2025.

The Board of Education at its February 22, 2021 regular meeting appointed Howard-Collins to fill the seat vacated last month by Board member Joette Doyle. Howard-Collins will serve the remaining two years of Doyle’s term. She may then decide to run for a full, four-year term in 2023. Doyle resign...ed because of recent health issues.
