Plainfield High School-Central Campus presents annual dance show

Plainfield High School-Central Campus will host its annual dance show sponsored by the Orchesis Dance Company and the physical education department on Friday, April 27, 2018.

The event begins at 7 p.m. in the school’s auditorium, 24120 W. Fort Beggs Drive.

Tickets at the door cost $5 for adults, $3 for students with an ID and free for those 5 and younger.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit victims of domestic abuse through the Guardian Angel home in Joliet.

This year’s program theme is “JuxtaPosed” and pairs dancers side-by-side representing opposing things, including good versus evil and young versus old.

The group also will recreate a selection of Alvin Ailey’s “Revelations.”

Several school groups collaborated on this year’s show in different ways.

The Commercial Music Design class created all the music edits and Life Skills classes helped develop the theme.

The Link Crew mentoring group made posters and the National Honor Society worked with the Guardian Angel home.
