District 202 elementary school students earned eight of the nine top prizes in the Plainfield Public Library’s annual Short Story Competition.
The Short Story Competition is open to fourth through sixth grade students. The young authors had to write an original story in 500 to 600 words. Students from District 202 and other area schools submitted 84 entries in all.
The Plainfield Public Library held a finale on Saturday, March 2, 2019 for all competition participants.
Author Kate Hannigan judged this year’s event.
