Plank Junior High School Principal Tyler Haymond will be the new Creekside Elementary School Principal effective July 1, 2023.

The District 202 Board of Education approved Haymond’s hire at its April 24, 2023 regular meeting.

Plank Junior High School is in the nearby Oswego School District 308.

Haymond has a degree in special education and a master's degree in school administration.

He taught special education for eight years in several districts including Kankakee 111 and Frankfort 157C, before becoming assistant principal at Troy Middle School in 2013.

Haymond has been in his current role at Plank Junior High School since 2018.

He is excited to be part of the District 202 family and honored to lead Creekside Elementary, Haymond said.

“I am ready for the opportunity to work alongside the staff and community at Creekside Elementary to provide opportunities for students to grow and succeed as lifelong learners,” he said.
