Frequently Asked Questions
I am a staff member and a parent. Would I get separate notifications?
Everyone who downloads the app will receive district-level notifications.
What if I don't want to get notifications?
If you want to download the app but do not want to receive notifications, you can deactivate this feature for the app in the app settings. However, notifications will include emergency announcements when appropriate, so we recommend not turning off the notification feature.
Will the school still send me calls and emails or just notifications through the app?
Yes, the schools will continue to use all available channels of communication to share important information with parents. The new mobile app is just an additional way through which we can communicate the great things that are happening at the district and let parents and employees know about important updates.
Will notifications come as text messages? Will it cost me anything to receive them?
All notifications are free and there will be no charges for the recipient.
Will there be updates and will I have to dowload it again?
If any updates are made to the app, users will receive a notification to update the app to the latest version in the same way that is done for any other mobile apps.
Will I receive notifications in my language of choice?
Notifications are not automatically translated by the app and will retain the language in which it was sent.
Can I download the app on several devices at the same time?
Yes, you can download the app on your phone, tablet, or any other mobile device. Because the app doesn't require unique sign-in credentials, it will not be linked to all devices. You will have to set up the app each time you download it to a new device.
What information is available on the app?
In addition to the latest news, calendars, and announcements, as a parent, you can find direct access to your Home Access Center, the District 202 Virtual Backpack, transportation information, directions, and contact information to schools, and menus.
What systems can I download the app on?
