Census 2020

BE COUNTED 2020!

District 202 is proud to partner with the Village of Plainfield, the Village of Romeoville, the City of Joliet and the Spanish Community Center in Joliet to educate and encourage our community to complete the 2020 Census this spring.

APRIL 1, 2020 IS CENSUS DAY!

The Census is the law – the United States Constitution requires that everyone be counted every 10 years. The Census information is then used to determine our Legislative representation and our share of federal funds.

Will County is in line for $219 million based on the 2020 Census results. That money helps pay for roads, education, healthcare and public safety, among other important community investments.

***For the first time ever, you’ll be able to complete the Census online and on your smart phone.
Of course, everyone will also get the Census questionnaire the “old fashioned” way in the mail, too.

No matter how you decide to respond, it is vitally important that you respond.

Here is some basic information about the Census.
