TOP SOCIAL MEDIA POSTS

These District 202 social media posts got the most attention and feedback this week:
instagram Ridge Elementary School fourth grade teacher Ann Smelser encourages her students to write down on a piece of paper something good that happened to them each day. They put their papers into a bucket and at certain times throughout the day they write the good thought on the poster in the hall so everyone can see. Smelser got the idea from a summer training called Capturing Kids’ Hearts and the book “How Full Is Your Bucket? For Kids” Smelser plans to send all the notes home with each student at the end of the year. @ridgeraptorpride #202proud #positivevibes #fullsomeonesbucket

facebook About 50 students and chaperones from Plainfield High School-Central Campus, Plainfiel South and Plainfield North high schools spent nine days touring France in July.

The students enjoyed places in Paris, Normandy and Brittany.

They saw places like the Notre Dame Cathedral, Effiel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre, the Caen Memorial and Pointe du Hac.

The trip was educaional and fun for these juniors, seniors and 2019 graduates. #202proud
