Plainfield Community Consolidated School District 202 is a creative, proactive school system in the southwest Chicago suburbs, dedicated to ensuring that all students learn, achieve and grow to their maximum potential.
District 202 serves students from a 64-square mile area including all or parts of Bolingbrook; Crest Hill; Joliet; Lockport; Naperville; Plainfield; Romeoville and unincorporated Will and Kendall counties.
District 202 is the fifth largest public school system in Illinois by enrollment, behind (in this order) Chicago, Elgin, Rockford and Indian Prairie (Aurora/Naperville), based on 2015-16 State Board of Education data.
Fourth graders got to peek inside DVD players, a portable cassette player, an electric pencil sharpener and a fan to see how they work.The students in Ann Smelzer's class at Ridge Elementary School pried open the equipment to find smaller machines like pulleys, wheels and other kinds of gears that made the bigger machines run.Visit http://www.psd202.org... for photos from the activity.
