SPECIAL NEWS

THIS WEEK'S HIGHLIGHTS
  • The Board of Education will meet in regular session Monday, November 9, 2015 at Walker’s Grove Elementary School, 24810 W. 135th Street, Plainfield. The public session will start at 7:30 p.m.
  • The Jon Balke Student Art Gallery is proud to feature works from Central, Creekside, Lincoln and River view elementary schools; Ira Jones Middle School; and Plainfield North High School in November. Please check out our students’ artistic talents at the District Administrative Center, 15732 Howard Street, Plainfield.

PSHS, PNHS and PEHS will all perform their plays the weekend of November 19-22:

KUDOS AND CONGRATULATIONS
  • The PNHS Boys Cross Country team will compete at the state cross country tournament this weekend in Peoria. This is the first time that either the PNHS Boys or the Girls cross country teams has qualified for state.
  • PNHS student athletes Rachel Lau, Juliana Stogsdill and Megan Patton will all compete individually in the state cross country tournament this weekend in Peoria.
  • PSHS student athletes Austin Brown, Andy Bhatia, Hunter Dyer, Alexis Grigg and Greta Carlberg will all compete individually at the state cross country tournament this weekend in Peoria.
  • John F. Kennedy Middle School once again was the third-highest ranking fundraising school nationwide for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
  • Sixty-five District 202 high school student musicians will take part in the Illinois Music Educators Association District 9 music festivals this weekend.
  • PEHS senior Mackenzi Welsh has been named a Second Team Under Armour All-American for girls’ volleyball.
  • PHSCC students and staff recently sent about 250 personalized letters to WWII and Korean War veterans through the Lake County Honor Flight program.
