Education Partners, hello.

Technical difficulties prevented us from sending the Education Partners email newsletter on Friday as scheduled.

However, better late than never…

With apologies for any inconvenience, here is this week’s serving of District 202 news and information. 


SPECIAL NEWS
  • The Board of Education recently approved some minor changes to the 2016-17 school year calendar. We’ve posted the AMENDED 2016-17 CALENDAR on the district web site. Please download it now for your planning purposes.

Here are the major changes:

  • A couple of institute days were moved or eliminated
  • Fall parent-teacher conferences were moved to the week of Thanksgiving with no student attendance that week
  • Winter break was extended
  • Students will return to school on August 17th, rather than August 18th

KUDOS AND CONGRATULATIONS
  • The Plainfield North High School boys bowling team is competing this weekend at the state bowling tournament. This is the second straight year that the Tigers have made it to state.
  • The dance teams from Plainfield North, East and Central high schools are all competing at the state event this weekend. This is the first time that the PEHS dance team has qualified for state.
