Education Partners, hello.

Here is this week’s selection of District 202 news and information: 


  • The Board of Education recently approved some slight changes to the 2017-18 school calendar. The updated calendar is posted on the District 202 web site.

  • The Board of Education will meet in regular session on Monday, March 20, 2017 at the District 202 Administrative Center, 15732 Howard Street, Plainfield. The public session will start at 7:30 p.m.

  • PSHS senior Jack Allison will compete in the state Drafting competition on April 22, 2017 at Illinois State University. He earned the trip by finishing 2nd at the recent Drafting Regional at Waubonsee Community College.

PSHS junior CJ Hemker placed 3rd in the Introductory Board Drafting division and senior Vivica Phillips earned 3rd in the Architectural CAD 3D division.

  • Drauden Point Middle School’s FBI team raised $590 for Special Olympics by taking part in the March 11, 2017 Polar Plunge at Leisure Lake in Joliet. The team comprises staff members Jessica Heft, Jackie Stoltz, Gina Duke, Erica Gaeta, Chris Kobe and Miriam Neugebauer.
  • PEHS junior student athlete Brian “BJ” Robinson is competing in the Country Financial Three-Point Showdown this weekend at the IHSA Boys Basketball State Tournament at the Peoria Civic Center.
  • John F. Kennedy Middle School raised and donated $25,915.42 to St. Jude Children’s hospital through its annual math-a-thon. JFK has now donated about $354,000 to the charity since the school opened in 2007.
