facebook Students in the Functional Based Instruction (FBI) program at John F. Kennedy Middle School take weekly community trips to help familiarize them with various places within their community, all while incorporating life skills.

Recently, the students visited the Plainfield Police Department and received a guided tour from Officer Shervino.

Students learned about the various departments and met the many people who help make the Plainfield Police Department run smoothly.

They toured the Records Department, where they received souvenirs including T-shirts, bags and water bottles.

The students learned about evidence, fingerprinting, visited the holding cells and sat in a squad car. #202proud
