Plainfield High School-Central Campus senior Alicia Goluszka leads a group of Grand Prairie Elementary School alumni in the school’s inaugural Grad Walk on Thursday, May 16, 2019. Goluszka organized the walk which included about 30 of her Grand Prairie – now PHSCC – classmates. The whole elementary school lined the hallways with signs, cheering and giving the Class of 2019 high-fives as they walked by.

SPECIAL INFORMATION

Reminder: the Canadian National train intersections at Lockport Street, Eastern Avenue and Center Street will be closed for repairs at different times over the next several weeks.

Our Transportation staff is working to create alternate routes, but please be prepared for possible delays, especially in the Orange and Green houses. 

Please sign up for the District 202 Mobile Bus App to track your student's bus in real time. 

REGULAR INFORMATION

  • District 202 will spray for weeds at all schools and facilities in the next several weeks into early summer, weather permitting.

  • Several District 202 high school student athletes are competing this weekend at the state girls track meet:
    • Plainfield South High School
      • Miranda Caldwell, shot put and discuss
      • Trinity Allen, 300 low hurdles
    • Plainfield East High School
      • Rose-Marie Ogbuli, (100-meter dash)
    • Plainfield North High School
      • Juliana Stogsdill, 3200-meter
      • Sydney Cangilla, high jump
      • Jeneau McClain, long jump, 4x200 Relay
      • Savanna Santore, 110-meter high hurdles, 300-meter hurdles, 4x200 Relay
      • Aja Bradshaw, 4X200 Relay
      • Kayla Campbell, 4x200 Relay
      • Peyton Panka, Shot Put
  • PSHS freshman Lexi Janiak recently placed 3rd at the US Woman’s Wrestling World Trials in Texas and earned a spot on the US National team. 

She may wrestle in the World Championships or Pan Am Games depending on what the first and second-place winners decide to do.

Meehan arrived in a Bearcat armored vehicle with Joliet Police Department Officer Christopher D'Arcy.

Meehan's mom, Kelly Floss, said her son won the Bearcat ride after he raised more than $1,000 for the school PTO's Incredible Dash. #202proud
