  • The Plainfield High School – Central Campus Calculator Team won 10th place in the Illinois Council of Teachers of Mathematics’ state contest.
  • Plainfield South High School baseball coach Phil Bodine notched his 600th career win (and his 212th win in his time at PSHS) on May 16, 2018 when the Cougars beat the Minooka Indians.
  • These District 202 student athletes are competing at the state girls track meet this weekend:
  • From PNHS:
    • Megan Patton -- 1600m
    • Alecea Cardillo - Triple Jump
    • Juliana Stogsdill - 3200m
    • Aja Bradshaw - Long Jump, 200m, 100m
  • From PEHS:
    • Rose Ogbuli – 100-yard Dash
  • From PSHS:
    • Miranda Cadwell – Shot and Discus
    • Cassidy Martin – 800m
    • Trinity Allen – 300m Low Hurdles
  • Wesmere Elementary School raised $10,000 for the American Heart Association through its Hoops for Heart event.
  • Ira Jones Middle School won a $1,000 Soft-Stick Equipment grant from U.S. Lacrosse which it will use to buy assorted lacrosse supplies.
