This Week's Highlights

REGULAR INFORMATION

  • The Board of Education will meet in special session on Monday, June 3, 2019 for a Board study session. No action will be taken. The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. at the District Administrative Center, 15732 Howard Street, Plainfield.
  • District 202 will spray for weeds at all schools and facilities in the next several weeks into early summer, weather permitting.

Kudos and Congratulations
  • PEHS juniors Lexie Rudolph and Julia Nawa won gold medals in the recent IHSA state journalism competition for Yearbook.
  • Several District 202 high school student athletes medaled at last weekend’s state boys track meet:
  • Plainfield East High School
    • Alex Babbington – won first place in the high jump
  • Plainfield North High School
    • Marcellus Moore – won first place in both the 100 and 200-meter races, for the second straight year.
  • Creekside Elementary School raised $2,506.20 in just five days through a Penny Wars fundraiser to benefit the American Cancer Society’s Cancer Relay.

Students were given the delicious task of starting a food truck business. Fellow teacher Katharine Sheble nominated Ponx for the Winslow Coyne Reitnouer Excellence in Education Award.
