Kudos and Congratulations
  • District 202 teachers work hard all year -- even over the summer, when many participate in professional development activities.

For example, Middle School Social Studies teachers took part in the Social Studies Academy the first week of June. The Academy prepares teachers to implement the new Illinois Learning Standards for Social Studies.

  • Gatorade this week named Plainfield North High School junior Marcellus Moore as its 2018 Illinois Boys Track & Field Athlete of the Year.

Moore set state records and won Gold medals in the 100 and 200-meter dashes at state; and anchored the 4X100 and 4X200 meter relay teams that also took first place at state.
