SPECIAL DISPATCH - Community Food Drive August 31, 2015

MESSAGE FROM DISTRICT 202

August 31, 2015

Education Partners,

This is a very special, "special message."

District 202 is proud to support the Hunger Action Month Community Food Drive from September 1-30, 2015. Donations will be shared by the Plainfield Interfaith and Green Harvest food pantries and our very own  Creekside Cares backpack food program. This event is co-sponsored by the Village of Plainfield, the Plainfield Chamber of Commerce and the Plainfield Public Library.

Community members are encouraged to drop off most-needed food items at any of our schools or the District Administrative Center (15732 Howard Street, Plainfield) during regular business hours. (Individual schools may also do their own special activities to support this event.)

As well, any District 202 adult resident can get half-price admission to the September 11, 2015 Plainfield North High School home varsity football game with the donation of one canned food item.

Click here for more information about this worthy event, and thank you in advance for your kind generosity and spirit of service for our community.

Tom Hernandez

Director of Community Relations
