District 202 cares about its neighbors – even those thousands of miles away. Here are just some of the many projects District 202 schools have done to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey. We will share more in the next few weeks.

  • The Plainfield East High School Student Council raised $1,100 selling T-shirts for the Hurricane Harvey relief fund.
  • Amy Michalisko’s second grade class at Thomas Jefferson Elementary School donated toys, personal hygiene supplies and made a fleece blanket for the Care Bags Foundation.
  • The Plainfield South High School Student Council, its Blue Crew fan club and the Green Machine fan club at Plainfield High School-Central Campus raised more than $2,000 selling T-shirts and collecting change. They will donate the money to the Austin (Texas) Diaper Bank and the American Red Cross.
  • Drauden Point Middle School students raised and donated $1,691.49 for Brookside Intermediate School in Friendswood, Texas.
