...and welcome to Homecoming Season 2016!

Hope you’ve had a good week. Here is this week’s District 202 news and information:



  • The Board of Education meets in regular session on Monday, September 26, 2016 at the district administrative center, 15732 Howard Street, Plainfield.
    • The Board will hold a public hearing on the proposed 2016-17 budget at 6:30 p.m. The proposed budget has been on public display for 30 days as required by law.
  • Here is Superintendent of Schools Dr. Lane Abrell’s first community column for this year. This installment details the first five weeks of school.
  • Work is very nearly done on the artificial turf installation at Plainfield High School – Central. Campus and Plainfield South High School. Check out the most current pictures and videos.
  • The 65th annual Community Homecoming Parade – led by Grand Marshals Pauline and Mike Herbst, will step off at 9 a.m. Saturday, October 1, 2016 in downtown Plainfield. If you’ve never been, please plan to attend. The parade is always a great time.
