This Week's Highlights

SPECIAL MESSAGES:

  • The Community Homecoming Parade scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, September 28, 2019 will take a slightly different route through downtown Plainfield because of construction. The route map is included in this Plainfield Police Department press release.
  • Speaking of championship hockey…attend the October 18, 2019 "Educator Night" Chicago Blackhawks hockey game against the Columbus Blue Jackets and the Hawks will donate a portion of the ticket proceeds to the Plainfield Foundation for Excellence!

  • Plainfield North High School took first place overall, and Plainfied High School—Central Campus earned 3rd place at the third annual Plainfield South High School Marching Band Invitational on September 21, 2019.

facebook Congratulations to Plainfield North School and Plainfield High School-Central Campus marching bands for placing in the top three at the third annual Plainfield South High School Marching Band Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019. Thirteen bands were scheduled to compete in Classes A, AA and AAA. The Plainfield North Marching Tigers was the Overall Grand Champion and placed first in Class 3A. The Tigers also won Best Auxiliary unit. Plainfield High School-Central Campus Marching Wildcats earned third place in Class 3A and won Best Percussion. instagram After Lakewood Falls Elementary School students raised more than $40,000 for the school, they were rewarded with a Day of Awesomeness today, Friday, September 20, 2019. Students enjoyed a variety of fun activities outside such as snow cones, hula hooping, large inflatable bounce houses with a variety of obstacles and more. #202proud.
