District 202 Education Partners, hello…

Heading into the Labor Day weekend, here is this week’s serving of District 202 news and information: 


SPECIAL NEWS
  • The first Community Coffee with the Superintendent for this school year will be held next Saturday, September 12, 2015 at the district administrative center.
  • District 202 is proud to support and co-sponsor the Hunger Action Month community-wide food drive for the whole month of September to benefit the Plainfield Interfaith and Green Harvest food pantries, and our very own Creekside Cares backpack food program.

Donations can be made at all of our schools and the district office through September 30th

***Both Plainfield North High School and Plainfield High School -- Central Campus will offer half-price admission to their September 11, 2015 home varsity football games with the donation of a food item.

KUDOS AND CONGRATULATIONS
  • Drauden Point Middle School 7th grader Summer Smentek was recently accepted into the Junior Mensa Honor Society, which recognizes students for their scholarship, service, extracurricular participation, character and commitment to the integrity of the society. 
  • Plainfield South High School freshman Timothy Chapman has been accepted into the National Society of High School Scholars.
