Crystal Lawns Elementary School kindergartners sing a Thanksgiving song during VIP Day on Friday, November 22, 2019.

Hello, District 202 Education Partners,

Here is our THANKSGIVING WEEK selection of D. 202 news and information:

This Week's Highlights

  • District 202 is proud to partner with the Village of Plainfield, the Village of Romeoville, the City of Joliet and the Spanish Community Center in Joliet to educate and encourage our community to complete the 2020 Census next spring.
  • We will be sharing much more in the coming weeks and months, but we’ve posted some basic information to get started, including Census-related job opportunities.

  • Here are the Board of Education meeting notes from the November 25, 2019 regular meeting.
    • At that meeting the Board heard about the proposed 2019 levy (our formal request for our local property taxes.)

We expect the district tax rate to drop for the 5th straight year. Local property values continue to rise, though, so individual tax bills may still increase.
