Week in Review

These District 202 social media posts got the most attention and feedback this week:
facebook image from facebook Kindergartners at Creekside Elementary School have been working hard on their social skills. Each day when students arrive to school, they choose how they want to be greeted. In some classrooms, teachers display signs for students to choose to be greeted with a hug, handshake, high five or fist bump. In another class, a student becomes the "Cheetah Greeter" and asks his or her peers how they want to be greeted. #202proud

instagram image from instagram Plainfield Academy students work hard every week to become eligible to play in the Chicago Area Alternative Education League (CAAEL). CAAEL focuses on good sportsmanship. At the end of every game there is a Ribbon Ceremony to celebrate good sportsmanship. Each team picks two players from the opposing team that displayed good sportsmanship and in return receive the Sportsmanship Ribbon. Students can participate in volleyball, basketball and softball throughout the year. #202proud
