Hello, District 202 Education Partners,

Happy New Year! Welcome to 2020.

Here is this week’s selection of D. 202 news and information:

census 2020, everyone counts!

The 2020 Census will be held next spring and it’s vitally important to our community that everyone be counted. The Census helps determine our legislative districts and federal funding.

Here is some basic information about the Census.

Did You Know?

About one million children under the age of five were not properly counted in the 2010 Census.

All residents must be accurately counted to ensure our area gets its fair share of federal funds and is appropriately represented in Congress.

School districts will work to ensure the Census is as accurate as can be by encouraging younger families to complete the Census in April.
