Grand Prairie Elementary School second-grade teacher Candance Savage helps a student on February 8, 2021. Second graders were among the students who returned to in-person learning this week. The final group of students are scheduled to return to in-person learning next week.

Hello, District 202 Education Partners,

Hope you had a good week. Here is today’s selection of D. 202 news and information:

  • About 1,500 District 202 staff members got the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine last week and this week through the Will and Kendall county health departments. District 202 has about 3,200 staff.

Will County is slated to vaccinate more District 202 staff next week.

  • Please continue to review the "Covid-19 Parent Handbook" to help families understand the pandemic, official health guidance, rules, our efforts to keep students and staff safe. (updated February 4, 2021.)

Delivery for our Curbside Meal Service is now on Wednesdays, through March 3rd. Free meals are available to ALL students 18 and younger.

Kindergartners, sixth and ninth graders along with all grades in instructional special education. It was hard to tell who was more excited - students or staff - to be back inside the classrooms. Next week early childhood students and those in grades first, second, seventh and 12th return to in-person learning.
