This Week's Highlights


  • Here is the UPDATED 2018-19 calendar, including the five “Emergency Days” that have been used. The last day of school is now June 5, 2019.
    • The High School Summer School schedule has also been changed:
      • Session 1 will now begin on Thursday, June 6, 2019 with attendance on Friday, June 7th.
      • The traditional Monday-Thursday schedule will start on Monday June 10th and continue through June 27th.
      • Session II will remain the same. 


  • Here are the Board of Education meeting notes from the February 25, 2019 regular meeting.
  • District 202 will screen the movie “Suicide – The Ripple Effect” at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2019 in the auditorium at Plainfield South High School, 7800 W. Caton Farm Road, Plainfield.

This free event is open to the community. It’s presented by the District 202 Plainfield Parent Community Network (PPCN).

  • Several District 202 high school student athletes earned “All State” honors at last weekend’s state swim meet:
  • 400 Freestyle Relay – PNHS junior Alex Dvorak; PHSCC senior Ethan Fox; PNHS senior Ryan Crafton; PEHS junior Marc Avery (11th place)
  • 100 Freestyle - Marc Avery (11th place)
  • 50 Freestyle - Marc Avery (7th place, Consolation Champion)
  • 200 IM - Alex Dvorak (8th place)
  • Heritage Grove Middle School 6th graders Anastasia and Bohuslav Lucenko will represent Spectrum Youth Singers at the American Choral Directors Association Conference this weekend in Kansas City, Missouri. 

They will be part of the National Children's Honor Choir, a nation-wide, auditioned group. They will perform for over 4,000 choir directors.
