Two campers tie-dye T-shirts on July 8, 2019 at Plainfield East High School's Art Studio hosted by the PEHS National Art Honor Society. This is third year for the art camp which caters to kids ages four to 13. Students work with clay, paint and learn different art techniques during the week-long event. Proceeds from the camp support scholarships for the high school’s art department.

Week in Review

These District 202 social media posts got the most attention and feedback this week:
instagram “All children are artists. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up.” — Pablo Picasso. Kids from ages 4 through 13 created with clay and tie-dyed T-shirts on Day 1 of the annual #PlainfieldEastHighSchool Summer Art Studio. Students will spend four days learning all about and creating art with paint and clay to name a few mediums. The studio, in its third year, was created by PEHS art teacher Cindy Egizio and is staffed with National Art Honor Society students. Proceeds from the studio go to #scholarships in the art department. #202proud #art #summerbreak
