Education Partners,
The first day of classes is only a week away...
With that in mind, District 202 will run a “Mock School Day” on Monday, August 15th so that bus drivers can practice their new routes before school starts on Wednesday, August 17th.
The Mock School Day will also let families see the approximate time that buses will arrive at their stops.
***Please do not stop your driver during the Mock School Day. Drivers need to run their routes without interruption so we can fix any scheduling problems before school starts.***
PLEASE NOTE:
- Bus Routes will now be posted on the Home Access Center starting this Thursday August 11th, or Friday, August 12th depending on your grade in school.
- Bus Route letters will no longer be printed for most students, or posted on school doors or the district web site.
- However transportation information will still be available for kindergarten families at each school’s kindergarten orientation or Teacher Meet and Greet event.
- Transportation information for Bonnie McBeth students, as well as students with special needs and Out of District students will NOT be posted on the Home Access Center. Individual bus drivers will contact parents of these students with their specific transportation information as usual.
- Kindergarten and special education buses that transport students to schools within the district will also practice their routes on Monday.
- However, buses that transport students to locations outside the district, will not practice their routes on August 15th.
Please call the Transportation Department for more information at (815) 436-7800.
Thanks!
