Updated School Safety Information

As always – the safety and well-being of our students and staff is our top priority. Therefore, District 202 has updated information on school safety for the 2022-2023 school year.

This information is posted on the front page of the district website and all school websites under “Announcements.”

Jon W. Balke Student Art Gallery

The Jon Balke Student Art Gallery is featuring a special exhibit of works by the Chicago Society of Artists in August. This display wascreated for yearly calendar publication, and is presented by Balke Gallery namesake Jon W. Balke.

Thank you to Mr. Balke for his generosity. Make sure to check out this impressive exhibit at the District Administrative Center.

 
We're Hiring!

District 202 is hiring for summer work especially current, nine-month District employees.

Summer Food Help

If you know someone who needs help getting food this summer, the Plainfield Area Interfaith Food Pantry (22525 W. Lockport Road, Plainfield) provides food and personal care items to residents within District 202 boundaries.  

The pantry distributes Saturday mornings and every 3rd Tuesday morning.

Please bring ID and proof of address to the pantry after 10:15 a.m. during distribution to sign up for services.

You will be asked to complete a short application and income verification.  For more details, including the full schedule, view the pantry website http://www.plainfieldfoodpantry.org/home/index

The Northern Illinois Food Bank also continues to offer mobile, drive-thru food pantries (no registration required).  Food supplies may be limited so are provided on a first-come-first-served basis.
