SPECIAL MESSAGES:

The Community Homecoming Parade scheduled for next Saturday, September 28, 2019 will take a slightly different route through downtown Plainfield because of construction. The route map is included in this Plainfield Police Department press release.

Attend the Chicago Wolves hockey game on Saturday, October 5, 2019 and the Wolves will donate a portion of proceeds to the Plainfield Foundation for Excellence.

REGULAR INFORMATION

The Board of Education will meet in regular session on Monday, September 23, 2019 at the District Administrative Center, 15732 Howard Street, Plainfield. Here is the agenda.

Plainfield South High School will host its third annual Marching Band Invitational on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at the school, 7800 Caton Farm Road, Plainfield.

Fourteen high school marching bands from the Chicago area and northern Illinois are scheduled to compete in the event, including Plainfield Central, South and North high schools. Gates will open at 2 p.m. and the first performance will begin at 2:45 p.m.

	A few years ago, Eagle Pointe Elementary School first-grade teacher, Scott Samek and his wife, lost their third child at just five days old. After receiving a tremendous amount of support from the community after unexpectedly losing their son Maverick, they launched Memories for Maverick, which encourages spreading random acts of kindness.
