Kevin Luthardt has been working hard in our Media Center all summer adding beautiful works for art. The final piece he is finishing was designed by our students! They wanted to see a Wildcat busting through bricks with a book and a library card. Kevin finished the "Reading Takes You Places" mural and the one with students building, creating, and playing above the Makerspace center.
Thank you, Mrs. Domanski, for all your work planning and communicating with Mr. Luthardt all summer. Our students are going to love the beautiful, new additions!

Thank you to Daniel R. and Troop 19 for all the hard work designing and building our new hydroponic plant stands! We cannot wait to purchase our plants and to begin growing with our students soon! 🌱🌿🪴 Congratulations to Daniel for the great work on his Eagle Scout project! It was wonderful partnering with Daniel!

Central Elementary School second graders learned about the Chinese New Year recently. The Year of the Snake began on January 29. Students made hats, lanterns, snakes, and red envelopes - all symbols of the Chinese New Year. One student shared her New Year's family traditions and gave her classmates red envelopes with two-dollar bills inside. The two-dollar bill symbolizes prosperity.
