BATTLE OF THE BOOKS (B.O.B.)

Join Battle of the Books! It is free to join, you get a free book and prizes as your team advances to each round.  B.O.B. is a great way to challenge yourself with reading and participate in a fun, team-based event!  Teams must include 3, 4, or 5 students from the same grade level. Each student is responsible for reading and becoming an "expert" for their chosen 1 or 2 books. The students will receive their book(s) the last week in October or early November. Battles will take place over a week time period during the school day at the end of January/ beginning of February.  Pick up an application in the library.  Applications are due by Tuesday, October 21st. B.O.B T-shirt contest - Anyone can submit a B.O.B. t-shirt drawing; you do not have to join BOB to enter the t-shirt contest.  Attached is the flyer with details.   T-Shirts designs are due by Tuesday, October 21st.

Our school is kicking off the Double Good Popcorn Fundraiser, and it’s a competition between study halls!

  • Ends: Friday, October 24th at 4:00 PM

PTO BUTTER BRAID FUNDRAISER

Holiday Season is upon us and that can only mean one thing, Butter Braids! Please help support Drauden Point PTO with our Butter Braid Fundraiser. The PTO will receive 40% of all orders! There are two ways to order/sell Butter Braids. First, order forms are going home Tuesday, October 14th. All paper order forms must be submitted with a check payment made out to Drauden Point PTO and dropped off at the school no later than Wednesday, November 5, 2025. Second, you can click on this link and register directly on the Butter Braid site. No orders will be accepted after November 5th. Butter Braid pick up will be on Monday, November 17, 2025 at Drauden Point from 4:00 to 5:00 pm.

FALL DANCE

MILES OF SMILES
 Reminder: Please submit your students’ Miles of Smiles Consent form as soon as possible!  We are trying to get as many students as possible to take advantage of this great opportunity.

Miles of Smiles provides dental services to eligible children in ALL GRADES. Services may include exam, cleaning, fluoride varnish, and sealants if needed. This also satisfies the dental requirement mandated by the State of Illinois for school children (K, 2nd, 6th and 9th). 

This service is offered to our families at NO COST.

Club passes are now available for purchase in the Main Office.  Club Passes are $10 cash/check, and are good for as many clubs as a student would like to participate in for the entire 25-26 school year.  Students need to show their pass to the club sponsor in order to join.

Homework Club is every Tuesday & Thursdayfrom 3:00-3:45pm in room 106

Homework Club is a quiet place for all students to complete schoolwork after school hours. It runs Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:05-3:45pm in room 106. A teacher will be available to assist with work and answer any questions. Students can simply show up, sign in, and get to work. No club pass required. In cases of work completion concers or excessive absence, attendance may be required by teachers, administrators, or parents.

Friday School is every Friday from 3:00-6:00pm in room 111.

Both are great ways for kids to get help withtheir homework with teacher assistance.
