All week we'll be 'popping in' with popcorn trivia to celebrate our Double Good Popcorn fundraiser. Today, Mrs. Hill's class won the trivia contest and got a popcorn party!

Camp FBI! Today in FBI intermediate students worked in campsites to complete fun math facts, graphing, and writing! Students made yummy s’mores and then sequenced the steps to take home to their families. We ended the day with a read aloud by the fire, and some fun firefly glow sticks!

Mrs Hill’s Rock Star Cafe’ hosted a Book Tasting today as a culminating activity. Over the past couple of weeks students have been learning about different fiction and nonfiction genres!

Last night, the Board of Education approved switching SIP days in September due to the LIV Golf tournament at Bolingbrook Country Club. Students will be in school on Monday, September 16, and off school on Friday, September 13. The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory and excessive heat watch for our area until 8 p.m. Tuesday. District 202 uses the following guidelines on days with extremely hot and or humid weather:
• Recess/PE outdoors if the heat index is 90 degrees or below
• Recess/PE indoors if the heat index is above 95 degrees
The heat index takes into account both air temperature and relative humidity. If the heat index is between 91 degrees and 94 degrees principals can decide if students stay inside or go outdoors.
