College & Career

Mrs. Kalantzis, College and Career Counselor, works with the Counselors to provide students assistance and support in making post-high school plans.  The process is ongoing throughout high school, and includes individual appointments and group guidance focusing on career exploration, college/military/trade school planning, the financial aid process, and scholarship searches.  

PNHS students are using School Links for college and career information.

Updated information is posted on the PNHS website and in the grade level Google Classrooms.

Mini Info Session - College Application Process - There will be a 25-minute presentation for senior parents on Curriculum night, Aug. 21st at 6PM. Mrs. Kalantzis will cover the basics of the college application process, including the application, transcripts, letters of rec, essay, and financial aid/scholarships. Presentation here.

Freshman Group Guidance - The counselors will meet with all 9th graders through Wellness classes on Thursday, August 21st. They will share important high school information such as graduation requirements, support services, extracurricular activies, and SchooLinks college and career resource. Presentation here.

Senior Group Guidance - Mrs. Kalantzis will visit all Senior English classes between Aug. 27-Sept.9 to review post-secondary planning which included the college application process.

College Admissions Essay Writing Workshop - Seniors who would like to learn more about how to write an effective college admissions essay can check out this workshop. September 12th during 6th hour. Sign up here.

Walk-In Wednesdays - Seniors who need college application help can walk into the College and Career Center-room 300 on Wednesdays during their study hall Sept. 10th-Oct.29th.

College reps visit PNHS - Various college reps will visit PNHS to meet with interested seniors on Tuesdays and Thursdays Sept. 16th-Nov. 4th. See schedule on SchooLinks and Google classroom.
