Mrs. Stennetts friends are using excellent manners and collaboration to examine different adaptations of different animals from a variety of ecosystems! They are truly engaged and loving what they are learning!

🍀🍀We've got some sneaky first graders who are ready to catch a Leprechaun! These traps were built by Mrs. Kolinski and Mrs. Dunow's students. I hope one of the traps work and they get the Leprechaun's pot of gold! (and maybe they will share!!!!)🍀🍀

Yesterday our 4th graders strutted their stuff down the red carpet in their very own Idiom Fashion Show! Thankfully it wasn't "Raining Cats and Dogs", so they were able to "Lend their Ears" and use the "Eyes in the Back of their Heads" to cheer their classmates on. And too soon "Time was Flying" and the event was over. But their hard work had paid off and we were super proud! Yesterday, several of River View's students participated in the Green House Science Fair. We are so proud of all our students who chose to design a science experiment and present it. Mrs. Boukram was able to snap a few pictures to share. It was also shared that our very own third grader Natalie M. came in 1st place out of all the third graders who entered. Way to go Natalie!!!!

☘️Our Intermediate FBI class celebrated St Patrick's Day early with coloring sheets, green soda and homemade shamrock shakes! Even Mrs Gawla got to join in on the fun!!! ☘️

On Friday both of our FBI classrooms went to see the James and the Giant Peach play at Lewis University. They had a wonderful time!

🌟Tonight was RV's 'Let it Glow' STREAM night! 🌟. It was a Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art and Math palooza!!!! All with a glow-in-the-dark theme. We had an OUTSTANDING turn out! Thank you to everyone who helped make this event happen, including PCHS NHS students.

Today our 2nd graders got to visit Lewis University to see the play James and the Giant Peach. The students enjoyed their field trip and did a great job demonstrating their ROAR expectations while out and about in our community!

The Board of Education approved an updated 2023-2024 school year calendar on Wednesday. Download the English or Spanish versions here: https://www.psd202.org/documents/printable-calendars/537434

It was a GREAT match, but the teachers squeaked out the win over the 4th and 5th grade champions today. A big thank you to Mrs Wallace and Mrs Horn for organizing their first BOB tournament, and another thank you to everyone who helped support, proctor and monitor. It was awesome!!!

BOB stands for Battle of the Books. Our 4th and 5th graders could commit to teams and reading selected books. Then they competed all this week head to head against other teams until one 4th and one 5th grade team was left standing. Those two teams are now competing against the teachers for the ultimate champion. We will report back with the winner. We
are so proud of all the teams!

Some super exciting things happening at River View today!!!!!!

Goodness! I somehow completely missed 3rd grade! I guess 7 parties in one day all starts to run together! 🤪 3rd graders had a blast playing, dancing and crafting! Sorry for the delay-enjoy these pictures!

Our final group, our 4th graders, rounded out our day of grade level parties. They enjoyed dancing to lights, making bracelets and playing games for prizes. Thank you again to all our volunteers for helping make today special!

Our 1st graders kicked off our afternoon with dancing, arts&crafts and games at their grade level party!

Next up-our kindergartners were dancing, playing and coloring during their party and having a BLAST!

Our FBI primary and intermediate classrooms got to participate in their parties next. Lots of bubbly fun was had by all!

And now our 2nd graders have a turn at enjoying some time in the gym with some awesome activities!!!
