Thirty-two fifth graders from three District 202 elementary schools participated in the Illinois Music Educators Association District 9 Elementary General Music and Chorus festival on Saturday, October 26, at Yorkville Middle School. Music teachers nominated the students to attend the festival in either general music or choir. General music included using instruments such as drumming, xylophones, and recorders. Students worked with teachers and other students during the day and presented a concert for families in the afternoon.

Did you know that you can support the Support the Bags of Hope program right here at Thomas Jefferson? From November 1-November 8 you can by donating non- perishable items that will be sent home to families in Plainfield, Bolingbrook, Joliet and Lockport.

Thank you to the PTO and all our volunteers! Families had a great night. They visited food trucks, danced in the multi-purpose room, and could visit the scary or not-so-scary Haunted Office!

At TJ's Trunk or Treat event, families get into the Halloween spirit by dressing in creative and colorful costumes. Parents, students, and even younger siblings show off their spooky, silly, or superhero-inspired outfits as they go trunk to trunk collecting treats.
