Podcast episodes: October 22, 2025 and November 18, 2025
Wesmere Elementary School student leaders created a podcast to give fellow students a voice, share good news, and recognize staff and students at their school.
The Wolf Pack Podcast is part of the school’s Alpha Wolf Club leadership program.
Megan Eberle, a speech-language pathologist, and fifth-grade teachers Clara Davidson and Ashley Richard spearhead the leadership club.
The Alpha Wolf Club’s mission is to foster a welcoming and respectful school environment where every student feels a true sense of belonging. It includes these committees:
Welcoming
School spirit
Events
Solutions Squad
Neighborhood Heroes
Wolf Pack Podcast
The club itself is about four years old, is made up of fourth and fifth graders, and has up to 70 student members.
The podcast is new this year, and all club members can have a chance to be part of an episode.
Podcast hosts learn how to work together, be organized, and hone their people skills.
The inaugural podcast dropped on October 22 and featured fifth-grader hosts Hayden Castro, Londyn Robinson, and Olivia Marcos.
“Not all people have time to read a newsletter, but they can listen to the podcast in the car,” said Castro.
The first podcast topics included Unity Day, the Trunk or Treat event and book fair, and shout-outs to students and staff.
They also interviewed a former Wesmere student about what they enjoyed during their time at Wesmere.
“It was fun and inspiring to do the first podcast, Robinson said.
Marcos said her favorite part of the initial podcast was giving kudos to the lunch supervisor, Miss Crystal.
“She is kind and helpful and funny, and we taught her how to dance,” she said.
The podcast is posted on YouTube, and teachers can play it during their morning classroom meetings.
Eberle said the students are encouraged to make the podcast their own since the hosts rotate for each episode.
“Even if a student isn’t in the podcast, they still have ways to influence the content,” said Davidson.
