The Plainfield Community Consolidated School District 202 Board of Education will host a public hearing at 6:30 pm on Wednesday February 11, 2026 as part of its regular meeting to hear public comment regarding a request for a waiver from state school code regarding drivers education. State code sets the fee for drivers education at $250. District 202 charges $300 to district residents and $400 to non-residents and wants to maintain this fee. The waiver would allow District 202 to waive the fee requirement for five years. The meeting will be held at Walker’s Grove Elementary School 24810 W. 135th St. Plainfield, Il 60544.
