Plainfield South High School will honor three individuals and one team at its 2026 Athletic Hall of Fame induction ceremony at 7 p.m. Friday, February 6, 2026, in the school’s main gymnasium, 7800 W. Caton Farm Road.

The 2026 PSHS Athletic Hall of Fame inductees are:

  • Eric Johnson - current National Football League player with the Indianapolis Colts, and an outstanding PSHS wrestling and football athlete.

  • Ken Bublitz – long-time basketball and football coach who also served PSHS as Athletic Director, dean, and social studies teacher.

  • Bob Yanello - served PSHS as the school’s longest-tenured Athletic Director as well as PSHS Principal.

  • The 2011 Boys Track and Field Illinois High School Association State Champion 4X400 Relay Team: John Magee, Sheldon Magee, Steven Harris, and Mitch Wolff.

The ceremony will be during the halftime of the boys’ varsity basketball game in the school’s main gym.

A committee chose these recipients based on their achievements and contributions to the PSHS athletic program.
