Seven District 202 middle school students will compete in the 2026 Will County Regional Spelling Bee at 5 p.m., on March 17, 2026, at Lincoln-Way West High School.
The students earned the honor by winning their individual schools’ Spelling Bees. Regional winners statewide will advance to the national Spelling Bee on May 28, 2026, in Maryland.
This year’s District 202 middle school Spelling Bee champs are:
• Aux Sable: Gian Avila (7th grade)
• Drauden Point: George Picard (7th grade)
• Heritage Grove: Andrew Molina (6th grade)
• Indian Trail: Paul-Ryan Dogo (7th grade)
• Ira Jones: Durrat-us-Sharaf Zaki (8th grade)
• John F. Kennedy: Yousuf Awan (8th grade)
• Timber Ridge: Aisha Chavda (7th grade)
